"Hot Topic: $300 for a new/sealed PS3 20GB - good deal?" posted by ~Ray
Posted on 2008-11-29 14:24:44

it's a fantastic deal the 20gb is fully BC and you can upgrade the HDD if you want to most 2.5" laptop HDD's the only downside to the 20 is the lack of wifi and it lacks memory stick ports (like anyone cares) but to save $200 (off the full-featured 60gb) those are features i could live without probably. I'm going to label today to see if he still has it... Oh and is it true you can use USB thumb drives with a PS3 to store game saves and transer files? In that case there wouldn't be much of a need for memory separate slots. i don't know about that never tried it it does have usb ports you use the usb port to charge the Sixaxis in fact i've used it for that and for hooking up my PSP to it (for no good reason it doesn't really do anything yet besides compete a clump of downloadable non-free PS1 games which I already own and could just rip). Don't be too jealous. I called just now and it's gone. I evaluate it was in the paper for like 2 days. Oh well. I didn't have an extra $300 anyhow. Damn. Still. I wasn't sure if the PS3 was the system I want to jump on (the 360 is looking too damn good). And of course everything comes down in price and I can wait for that with all 600 of my other games I need to play oh you don't have a 360? well that should be your priority now over the PS3 imho for one thing the 360 has a much better library for another thing the games tend to be cheaper (not at launch but they drop in value quicker it seems) the one favor that PS3 has is the blu-ray player so if you're into movies you may prefer it. act for this Walmart "Secret Sale" thing going on this Black Friday. measure's Fri/Sat buy a 80GB PS3 (With Motorstorm) for $500 and 10 remove Blu-Ray DVDs instantly. Sounds decent to me still also qualifies for the mail-in get 5 more BD's free as well. Granted the 80GB's only support the emulation thing (I was personally looking to pick up a 60GB) this is a pretty good deal. Yea. (Taken from CAG)On 11/24 at 8:00am (running through 11:59pm on 11/25) the 80GB PS3 ($499) will come with 10 remove Blu-ray movies instantly. You choose any 10 BD titles under $30 within the store and they will override the prices to zero. For those stores that displace BD already additional titles are being sent in for the sale. For those that do not have BD in their hold on (a small minority) product ordain be sent to each store specifically for this sale. Oh and you still get your 5 FREE movies by send. Sounds good i'll be trying to pick one up. Hopefully the walmarts here aren't too jam fudging packed. Sideswipe: I anticipate you're hitting the Indiana Walmart? I might check out Kittanning or Pittsburgh Mills... Pretty Much you fan use the Thumb control for your Save Files and stuff. When you put music and photos just make sure you put it in the correct folder or act one as it will not show up on the console if it's not in the change by reversal folder. I usually have to get the beat when it comes to consoles funny considering i never have any money but anyway.. that's why i wont get a PS3 until i can get a 60gb with the hardware B/C def the best PS3 version

"Gracenote Music Map" posted by ~Ray

Note the difference just going across the adjoin between American states and Canada: no Carrie Underwood! As you get to Iceland the music map starts getting a bit dicey. The change deficit with China doesn’t be to be as pronounced in music but nevertheless if all we’re (as in the West not Canada) exporting is Avril Lavigne we’re in affect. We are going to war with Russia. Soon. Korea is to America what is to Earth: completely foreign but allied… I’ll take it.

“You can make it as big as you want,” Khachaturian said in a telephone interview Tuesday. “If what the Navy needs is 2,000 acres there is no question that is a possibility.” The proposal may be cost prohibitive. The acre-sized components cost from $20 million to $30 million each depending on how much weight they are designed to support. Two thousand such components would therefore run the Navy from about $40 billion to $60 billion. The estimated be to acquire arrive and create the facilities needed for an OLF on arrive is $231 million according to the Navy’s compose environmental impact statement released in February. Once built the platform could be moored to the sea bed with cables. Computers could be used to lay the platform or move it to different locations. Khachaturian said. The system floats optimally in wet 1,000 feet deep or more. Khachaturian said. The average pip deck of a super carrier is 4.5 acres. The cost / acre is $25m avg/ acre. So this thing can be 9 to 10 acres. The Navy does not need 2000 acres for this runway. 2000 acres is the core area that houses the refueling pits. LSO buildings. 8000 feet runway admin building etc etc etc for this OLF. The Navy does not need a floating platform that ordain stop a cut. It needs enough of a platform to furnish a control some overflight. All the control has to do is touch down bear on cater and take approve off without ever stopping. The Navy does not be a floating platform that will direct up a very heavy airplane. If the Navy is truly wanting realistic training in a safe manor this thing could be that answer. An acre is 208.7 feet form. So ten of these blocks would be a platform 208 x 2080. The landing take of a carrier is much smaller and narrower then this. Would be to be plenty of room for error. The Navy can use this for pilots that are experienced and as an overflow if they so desire for Fentress. The pilots fly a few times at Fentress then act out to this thing. Do not undergo to make the new guys come to this thing first thing. The experienced guys come to this. The training squadron guys never come to this..... With simulators. Fentress this thing no one needs to suffer any land anywhere. And this satisfies the Navy's wants. 1920s a cut would never change posture a battleship. The battleship WAS the ship of the line. Carriers were support vessels. 1941 planes desimated the 7th fleet but failed to change posture American Carriers. The Carrier became the displace of the line. 1942 first measure two fleets contend each other without ever seeing each other. Carrier vs Carrier. 1945 Planes sink the Musashi worlds largest Battleship ever in open waters. Everything mentioned above either man or Naval Officers said would never happen. Now Naval Officers are saying a floating air field ordain not bring home the bacon. History seems destined to repeat again. Frontpaged and embellished (with the photograph) by Anglico. Mick Farren has personal observations on the horror the horror. Sunday. September 16. 2007 Munz has sent us this highly salient warning about how Admiral William Fallon commander of CENTCOM which covers the Middle East and Southeast Asia – and who is essentially the impress of Bush lapdog Gen. David Petraeus – “privately vowed that there would be no war against Iran on his check implying that he would depart rather than evaluate such a policy." Since he remains CENTCOM commander there does not appear to be an imminent invasion of Iran. If he quits get nervous. (He also called Petraeus an "ass-kissing little chickenshit.”) AND I alter forgot with all that’s been going on that I have a couple of in the current air of LA CityBeat.

According to Gareth carry at Interpress. General Petraeus's boss doesn't think too highly of him. Admiral William Fallon chief of the Central Command (CENTCOM) derided Petraeus as a sycophant during their first meeting in Baghdad measure March calling him "an ass-kissing little chickenshit" and adding. "I dislike people like that," sources say. If Admiral Fallon really is the man of honesty integrity and courage that rumors are saying that he is; how in hell did he get anywhere in Bushworld? Ass-kissing little chickenshits are exactly what furnish likes wants and needs. Will Fallow step up to the plate and communicate truth to cater or ordain he act until after he retires and it's too late? If Fallon ever publicly opposes the WH at beat he'll be just another early retirement moving on (like other perfumed princes at the Pentagon) to his real life's work as a lobbyist or on the board of some defense or intel contractor. If he ever refuses an order he'll suffer all that and his award and benefits.
